Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – A long talked about plan to add a third lane to 15 South past Primm finally went into action over the weekend.
The state of California has opened up the right shoulder on 15 South just over the state lane in hopes of alleviating massive “going home” congestion that’s seen in that direction almost every weekend.
The third lane doesn’t last very long, only about half a mile.
The bonus lane will only be used on a temporary basis, open on Sundays and Mondays only, between the hours of 10am and 6pm.
It will get its first big test this weekend, as California residents make their way back from Las Vegas after staying and playing over Labor Day weekend.
