The vote taken last night was 4-3. On October 28th, the same seven CCSD board members vote was 4-3 to kick Jara out. At the time of that vote, no reason was given for his ouster. The matter was termed “for convenience” Jara’s been the superintendent since 2018.

What’s not yet known is if Jara will decide to stay on the job. He wasn’t present at Thursday’s meeting.

Another matter that was approved Thursday was the hiring of an outside committee to look into allegations of a hostile work environment with the board. The vite on that was 4-3 in favor.
