2 CCSD employees arrested on sexual misconduct charges

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - A pair of Clark County School District employee face improper conduct charges after their arrests on Monday.

28-year-old Joshua Herrera faces charges of contact or attempted contact of a minor by a person of authority for the purpose of sex, as well as two charges of school employee engaging in sexual conduct with a person 16 or older, records showed.

Herrera is a Student Success Advocate assigned to Western High School and has been employed by CCSD since August 2019. According to a release from CCSD PD, Herrera will assigned “to home upon release per the negotiated agreement with the employee’s bargaining unit and will not be allowed on campus,”

No other details surrounding Herrera’s arrest were released.

Herrera’s first court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday.

Also on Monday, 27-year-old Devyn Hudson, was arrested and charged with sexual assault of a minor under the age of 16, attempted sexual assault of a minor under the age of 16, and lewdness with a minor under the age of 16.

Hudson worked as a janitor at Canyon Springs High School, and has been employed by CCSD since 2015.
