Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - The Clark County School District held a press conference on Tuesday to talk about athletics and performing arts.

Dr. Jesus Jara announced during the press conference spectators will be allowed to attend certain sporting and performing arts events this spring.

Spring sports (boys and girls track, boys and girls swimming, boys and girls diving, baseball, softball, boys golf and boys volleyball) will be allowed spectators, but only for the schools hosting the event. Fall sports (boys and girls tennis, boys and girls soccer, boys and girls cross country and girls volleyball) will not have spectators allowed

He also announced that there will be a 9-team jamboree in late April for select schools at Allegiant Stadium. Schools will split their teams in two so they can practice against each other. The inter-squad scrimmage will take place at the stadium without spectators.

School athletics will follow all guidelines from CCSD, the state, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association (NIAA). All coaches and adults associated with the team will have to have a negative test before activities begin
