Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – The Clark County School District has a new boss.
Thursday night, the Clark County School District Board of Trustees unanimously voted Jhone Ebert as the new Superintendent. Ebert succeeds Dr. Jesus Jara, who resigned last year.
Ebert becomes the first woman to lead the nation’s 5th-largest school district. She’s no stranger to it, though, having spent 25 years as an educator at CCSD.
Ebert is currently the Nevada’s State Superintendent of Public Instruction, a job she’s held since 2019.
Ebert’s contract now needs to be finalized and agreed to before a start date can be determined.
