Las Vegas, NV (AP) – As the spring semester comes to a close, word on that a teacher at Palo Verde High School has been arrested on a number of charges, including having sex with a student.
Michael Loyd has been with CCSD since 2016. He was arrested Wednesday by CCSD police, but no other details into the investigation have been released.
In addition to the charge of suspicion of engaging in sex with a student, Loyd also faces charges of gross/open lewdness and possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription.
Court records indicate bail was set at $10,000 bail, and his next appearance is scheduled for next Wednesday.
CCSD Police are asking anyone who might have more information, or had what they termed ‘questionable contact’ with Loyd, to call them at 702-799-5411.
