3-year-old boy dies from injuries suffered in east-side house fire

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – A 3-year-old boy has passed awayafter being rescued from a house fire Monday morning.

Firefighters were called to the home on Fort McHenry Drive, near Desert Inn and Nellis, just after 10am Monday and were informed by the child's mom that the boy was still inside the house.

The boy, identified Tuesday as Kaden Meachem, did not have a pulse when found but was revived by firefighters and taken to a hospital. He had suffered 3rd degree burns over most of his body.

No was else was hurt. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
