Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - The Las Vegas City Council on Wednesday unanimously voted down a proposed food truck zone downtown.

The planned space in the Arts District would’ve hosted around ten trucks. Brick and mortar restaurants had objected to the concept, saying that they were being held to a different, tougher standard. Speakers were also unanimous against it, citing a lack of bathrooms, added trash and more traffic.

In other business, the City Council voted nearly unanimously in favor of drive-thru business for dispensaries. The businesses must get a separate license to operate a drive-thru

The County commission gave similar approval for pot shops in unincorporated Clark County back in September.
