Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - The city of Las Vegas has opened up online registration for its Safekey before- and after-school enrichment program for kids in grades kindergarten through fifth grade.

Safekey provides programs outside of school hours at 70 elementary schools. Activities include physical fitness, STEAM programming (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics), crafts, Reader’s Theater, games, literacy programming, special events, homework time and a nutritional afternoon snack.

Safekey operates as a pre-paid program, and participants must be pre-enrolled and paid for each specific date of attendance. The Safekey program uses the school district calendar as a guide and operates on days that in-person instruction is in session. The Clark County School District’s fall semester begins on Aug. 11th.

There is an annual $25 registration fee per participant per account for these programs. The daily cost is $7 for before-school attendance and $10 for the after-school program.

Registration and payments can be completed online here.
