Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Clark County officials are warning residents of a new scam they say is making the rounds.
The scam involves a person receiving a failure to appear notice for a court date.
The notice has an amount that the recipient is supposed to pay. Clark County officials are telling people to ignore it and pay nothing.
Representatives from Las Vegas Metro Police have been made aware of the scam, and are telling those who feel they may have been taken to either file a report in person at a Metro substation, or go online to IC3.gov or LVMPD.com.
