Clark County to keep 'cooling stations' open through Saturday

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Las Vegas may set a record the the number of consecutive days that the area has hit a temperature above 110 degrees, and because of that, Clark County will be extending the days of operation for its so-called 'cooling centers'.

The National Weather Service extended an Excessive Heat Warning through Saturday night at 8. The original warning was set to expire on Monday.

Las Vegas’ all-time record high is 118, set back on July 26th, 1931. Las Vegas has come close to tying that record, hitting 117 five times.

Some, but not all, locations let you bring your pets, so check on which locations do so before you bring them along with you.
