Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Drivers in the southwest part of the valley are going to be a little bit inconvenienced over the weekend, as a portion of the 215 Beltway will close for construction.

Between 9pm Friday and 9pm Saturday, 215 will be closed in both directions between Flamingo and Tropicana. During that time, crews will be out doing a concrete deck pour for the under-construction Peace Way overpass.

The recommended detour around the work area is to use Fort Apache to access 215 at Flamingo for northbound travel on the Beltway and to access 215 at Tropicana Avenue for southbound travel.

In additions to the new overpass, the $19.8 million project includes roadway rehabilitation on Peace Way from Hualapai to Cimarron, the addition of curb, gutter and sidewalk improvements and construction of a traffic signal at Hualapai and Peace Way.

The project began back in June of 2024 and is scheduled for completion later this summer.
