Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft and representatives from Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), Anheuser-Busch and Uber came together Wednesday to launch a drunk driving prevention campaign that asks people to plan ahead if they expect to be drinking, and make sure they have a safe way to get home.

The public-private partnership will spread the message – “If you drink, don’t drive. Decide to Ride” – through social media, on billboards, and with signage in local bars, restaurants, retailers and other venues.

The campaign kicks off this weekend with special discounts on Uber rides on Super Bowl Sunday . The public outreach and education campaign will continue through St. Patrick’s Day (March 17).

“When people choose to drive impaired they put the lives of all our road users at risk, including their own,” Commissioner Naft said. “Thanks to this partnership, Southern Nevadans and those visiting our community will have one more way to get home safely. If you drink, don’t drive. Decide to ride.”

To help encourage people to make smart decisions and not drive impaired, a special promotion code will be shared soon that will offer users up to 25 percent off (up to $5) two Uber rides in Las Vegas on Sunday, Feb. 13. There are a limited number of codes and the code is as good as supplies last.

Clark County’s participation was led by the newly created Clark County Office of Traffic Safety
