
Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – A couple charged in the death of their 2-year-old son have been ordered health without bail.
Police were first alerted to the case of little Jacoby Robinson Jr. on the night of Thursday, June 5th. They responded to a call of a missing child in a neighborhood near 15th and Charleston around 8:30pm. Several hours later, police found Jacoby’s body in a dumpster in the 1300 block of Lewis Avenue.
According to a report obtained by the 8 News Now Investigators, little Jacoby’s body showed significant signs of physical injury.
23-year-old Diaja Smith was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a charge of open murder, along with other felony charges.
The boy’s father, 24-year-old Jacoby Robinson Sr., faces child abuse charges, but those might be upgraded to murder as the investigation progresses
The couple is due back in court on Tuesday.
Smith has two other children, including Jacoby Jr’s twin brother.
