
Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - The busiest portion of the busiest interstate in all of Nevada was shut down Monday afternoon after a carjacking suspect crash on 15 North in the Resort Corridor.
The wreck happened around 3:20pm, and was the culmination of the pursuit of a person who was wanted for carjacking.
It all began with a carjacking in the area of Blue Diamond and Buffalo. Police soon spotted the car and gave chase, with the pursuit moving south on I-15 into California. The driver got as far south as the agricultural inspection station, then turned around and re-entered Nevada on 15 North.
Police say that after the crash on I-15, the driver shot and killed himself as police closed in.
