Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Culinary Union member at the Virgin Las Vegas resort walked off the job Friday morning, marking the first open-ended strike by the union at a Las Vegas property in over 20 years.

Virgin remains the only property not to have a contract agreement with the Culinary Union. Union workers have been without a deal since June of 2023.

Union members walked off the job for two days earlier this year to protest the impasse, a walkout that Virgin said had no impact on guests who were staying at the hotel.

Virgin says they’ve made their best offer to the Culinary, which they say was rejected without a counter-offer.
