The march is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. at Flamingo and the Strip. The unit says it is holding the march to protect hospitality workers and their families.

The march will proceed south on the Strip from Flamingo to Harmon, then cross the Strip and head northbound back to Flamingo. An elevated stage will be in place there for speakers.

Drivers in the area at that time are being warned to expect extra delays on what's already expected to be the start of a very busy weekend.

Culinary Union officials say that in spite of the fact that most hotel-casinos have reopened, there are still about a third of their members that have still not gone back to work.
