Buck, a terrier-type mix, belonged to Joan Cafflel's grandson. Cafflel died after the August 9th attack at a near Desert Inn and Valley View.
The dog's owner has until August 29 to make a request for a hearing on whether the designation of vicious should be upheld. Caffel’s grandson told 8 News Now that such a request probably won’t be made, saying they could never look at the dog the same way again.
If a hearing doesn't happen, Buck will be euthanized.
