
Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Metro Police have made an arrest of a driver who was being sought in a fatal hit and run that occurred on the Valley’s far east side early Tuesday.

It happened just after 5:30am on Charleston west of Hollywood. That stretch was closed for hours to allow Metro’s fatal accident team to investigate.
The driver of the truck was identified by police as 34 year-ol Jeffrey Dungo of Henderson. Dungo made his first court appearance on Wednesday and was released on electronic monitoring. He's due back in court next month. Investigators say Dungo told them he thought he had hit a construction cone.
On Wednesday the identity of the person was was killed was revealed to be 44-year-old Arturo Gomez.
