Driver shot and killed on I-15: suspect sought

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Las Vegas Metro Police are investigating after a person was shot and killed Thursday night on I-15 South.

Police say the shooting happened around 8:30pm between Spring Mountain and Flamingo.

Investigators say that shots were fired from one car into another, with the driver who was shot crashing into the center median. That person was rushed to a hospital but died from their wounds.

All freeway traffic was forced off of 15 South at Spring Mountain until just before 4am as police worked the scene.

Currently, Metro hasn’t released any information on the type of car they’re looking for, and are checking surveillance cameras in the area for possible leads.

The name of the person who was shot hasn’t been released.
