Drivers still being sought in pair of fatal crashes

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Southern Nevada law enforcement agencies are asking for the public’s help to find the drivers responsible for a pair of fatal hit and run accidents that occurred in the early morning hours of Friday, July 5th.

The first happened around 2:15am on the ramp from the westbound Southern Beltway to 15 North. Nevada State Police say that a driver was off to the side putting gas in his vehicle, when another car on that ramp hit him. He died at the scene. The vehicle left the scene.

Investigators are looking for a red or maroon 2018-20 Nissan Kicks with front and/or right front and side damage. Nevada State Police say the car might also be missing its right front headlight and side mirror.

The second fatal hit and run occurred about 30 minutes later. In that case, Metro Police say the driver of a white pickup was speeding when it slammed into an SUV at Charleston and Hollywood. The two occupants in the SUV were killed, while the driver of the pickup fled the scene.
