Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – The price of progress will continue to be paid by drivers near downtown this week
Through midnight Saturday, Eastern Avenue under U.S. 95 will close as crews begin reconstructing the bridge partially demolished earlier this month.
Inspections and repairs will be performed concurrently on the Las Vegas Boulevard onramp to 95 South, requiring the ramp to close during the same timeframe.
Drivers who need to access 95 South from Las Vegas Boulevard should take Stewart to the Eastern onramp, as the ramps to and from Eastern to U.S. 95 will remain open.
The demolition and reconstruction of the Eastern Avenue bridge and the Las Vegas Boulevard ramp closure are part of the Nevada Department of Transportation’s $40 million I-515 viaduct rehabilitation project.
