Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – The Las Vegas City Council removed an agenda item for Wednesday’s meeting that would’ve voted on expanding a curfew at the Fremont Street Experience. The already existing curfew covers those 18 and under.

The expanded curfew would’ve covered those 21 and under, and was proposed after a series of violent incidents, including the shooting death of a man under the canopy back in June.
Security has been expanded at FSE, and metal detectors have been installed in certain areas. Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman said that those measures seem to be doing the job and far as curtailing the bad behavior, so the curfew proposal was removed from the day’s meeting.
There was no date given for future consideration of the expanded curfew.
