
Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – It’s been awhile since las Vegas reached the 100-degree mark, but they’re returning with a vengeance for the 4th of July weekend.
The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for southern Nevada, beginning Saturday morning at 11 and continuing all the way through Monday night at 8.
In response to the hot weather, Clark County has opened up a number of “cooling stations” where those who need to can escape the heat.
High temperatures in Las Vegas are expected to hit 103 on Friday, 108 on Saturday, then soar to around 112 on Sunday and Monday.
Temperatures will cool off a little on the 4th with a forecast high of 108, with highs hovering between 103 and 106 into next weekend.
