Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – A fatal crash involving a wrong-way driver closed a portion of U.S. 95 South on Friday.
The crash was first reported at 2:48am on 95 North between Boulder Highway and Charleston. Nevada State Police say that a driver traveling southbound in the northbound lanes hit another driver head-on.
NSP says that a passenger in the car that was going the wrong way was killed, with several others transported to the hospital.
In addition to the freeway closure, drivers were not able to access 95 North from Boulder Highway.
The closure is the second one this week on the valley freeways. On Wednesday, 15 South was closed between Lake Mead and Washington due to a shooting on the freeway.
