
Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – A man was found dead inside a burning home near Jones and Washington early Thursday, and Metro Police say foul play is involved.
Firefighters responded to the home in the 6200 block of Carmen Boulevard around 3:30am and located a man inside suffering from severe burns. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Fire Department Investigators then located blood inside of the residence and believed the fire had been intentionally set. Based on that information, LVMPD homicide detectives were notified and responded to the scene to assist.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives learned the victim had been shot prior to the fire starting and the death was determined to be a homicide.
The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
