Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – The discovery of a possible biological lab in the far east valley on Saturday morning led to a large and varied law enforcement presence that’s expected to continue for the next several days
On January 31, the LVMPD SWAT team assisted the FBI in the service of a search warrant at a residence on Sugar Springs Drive near Washington and Hollywood.
During the service of the search warrant, investigators discovered evidence of possible biological material to include refrigerators with vials containing unknown liquids.
The LVMPD ARMOR team are working with the FBI, local fire departments, and other state partners to ensure the proper recovery and mitigation of these items.
At the same time, the FBI searched a second home on Temple View Drive. There was no threat found at that residence. This remains an ongoing investigation, with Metro Sheriff Kevin McMahill saying there is no threat to the community.
One arrest has been made, but that person’s name has not been released
