Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - It's not the humidity, it's the heat.
The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for Southern Nevada from Wednesday at 10am until Thursday at 8pm, as things dry out and heat up. High temps are expected to reach 112 degrees both days.
The excessive heat has prompted Clark County to open up a number of what it calls 'cooling stations', where people can go to escape the hot temps.
Once we get past Thursday, things cool off just a bit to more seasonal numbers, with high temperatures for the weekend expected to reach just 106.
