Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - The City of Henderson Police Department’s Investigative Services Division Property Unit has conducted two separate “Retail Theft Blitz” operations so far this holiday season to help combat retail thefts in some of Henderson’s larger shopping corridors.
During these operations, 35 arrests were made with more than $4,273 in stolen property recovered and returned to the retailers.
Where the operations took place were not revealed.
HPD said that numerous repeat offenders were picked up, along with multiple offenders with active arrest warrants for other crimes, and offenders currently part of larger, ongoing Organized Retail Theft series.
In a partnership between HPD Property Detectives, HPD Patrol Division, LVMPD Organized Retail Crime (ORC), several local retail locations, and their Loss Prevention staff, the targeted operations began just before Thanksgiving and will continue through the holiday shopping season.
