Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – As the Clark County School District gets ready to begin its summer break, the Henderson Police Department is kicking of another “Click It or Ticket” campaign, remind drivers of how important it is to wear your seat belt – and how expensive it can be if you don’t.

Beginning Monday and lasting through the end of May, officers will use saturation patrols throughout Henderson to stop vehicles for traffic violations, and then check for seat belt use, as seat belt violations are a secondary offense in Nevada.

Click it or Ticket is a national program sponsored by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Henderson Police received $196,000 in federal funding for the enhanced enforcement initiatives through the Nevada Department of Public Safety – Office of Traffic Safety for the 2024 Joining Forces program.
