Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - The City of Henderson Animal Care and Control has medically released approximately 80% of their dogs for public adoptions that were previously being treated for symptoms or exposure to the Pneumovirus.
These dogs were held and/or treated for the duration of shedding time for this virus (the virus would no longer be considered contagious after the shedding time).
The shelter’s adoption courtyard is still not open to the public, as there are some dogs that are completing their course of their medications. Meet and greets also remain on pause.
All the shelter’s adoptable dogs are viewable on a large board at the shelter, and a kennel attendant or volunteer will bring the dog to the person for visiting in the adoption visiting area. They are also viewable online 24/7 at 24petconnect.com.
We are still not accepting owner surrender dogs currently until we are able to complete the treatment of the exposed dogs from Pneumovirus.
All animal adoptions fees are half off this week. Dogs are $45, Cats are $40, Rabbits are $17.50, and Guinea Pigs are $5.
