Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Boyd Gaming on Monday released details on when the shuttered Eastside Cannery on Boulder Highway will be coming down.
The implosion is scheduled for Thursday, March 5th at 2am.
Unlike some high-profile implosions, Boyd said the Eastside Cannery’s will be as low key as possible. It won’t be open to the public, and there won’t be any designated viewing areas.
Eastside Cannery, which opened in 2008, closed along with every other casino at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in March of 2020, and never reopened.
Boyd Gaming officials say that the plan is to sell the land for eventual residential development.
