Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Traffic into Nevada and Arizona on Interstate 11 was stopped for a couple of hours on Sunday when police say a man threatened to jump from the Mike O’ Callaghan – Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge.

Police closed I-11 in both directions at the bridge while they talked with the man, who eventually surrendered to police around 6:30pm.
Backups extended for a couple of miles while drivers on a busy pre-Christmas Sunday waited out the situation.
The man’s identity hasn’t been released, nor was it said what charges he may face for causing the closure.
