Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Metro Police have arrested a woman who they say started a fire at her apartment and then refused to let anyone inside to put the fire out.

Police were called to the Toscana Villas apartments near Harmon and Topaz around 9:30 last night, but couldn’t initially gain entry into the residence.

When they did they arrested the woman, and got the woman’s two kids out of the unit while firefighters put out the fire.

Damage was minimal but several surrounding units had to be evacuated.
