Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – A Las Vegas man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting at an east-side house party.

Las Vegas Metro Police say that Hector Ivan Salas-Cardiel turned himself in a week after the shooting, accompanied by his lawyer.

Police say that Salas-Cardial was attending the party near Eastern and Charleston on the night of July 22nd, and got into an argument with other attendees. He left the party, but returned later that night with a gun and fired several shots. No one was hit, but several of the shots did damage to the house.

Salas-Cardiel faces a number of charges including child abuse/neglect with use of a deadly weapon (because an 11-year-old was present at the time of the shooting), and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
