Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Firefighting agencies from all around southern Nevada have headed down to the Los Angeles area to help battle wildfires that have left the area devastated.
The group is comprised of firefighters from Clark County, Las Vegas, Henderson, and Pahrump Valley Fire departments.
In additional to the personnel, five engines also made the trip south.
The crews have been assigned to help fight the Palisades Fire, the biggest fire in the area, which has burned more than 17,000 acres and destroyed more than 1,000 structures.
Crews are expected to stay in the area for about two weeks, but that time frame could be adjusted depending on conditions.
