Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - The Nevada Task Force 1 Urban Search & Rescue Team has been activated by FEMA and ordered to deploy to Baton Rouge, LA, to assist in the response to Hurricane Ida.
A 35-member team consisting of firefighters from the Clark County, Henderson and North Las Vegas Fire Departments, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue, and other staff should arrive at their destination on Monday.
The team is one of 28 around the nation.
