Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - The Nevada Department of Transportation will be kicking off a $40 million viaduct rehabilitation project along U.S. 95 from the Spaghetti Bowl to Eastern this week and drivers are going to pay the price for the future progress.

Beginning Sunday night, 95S will be down to two lanes between I-15 and Eastern. Similar lane restrictions will begin for northbound drivers between Eastern and I-15 on Tuesday night. Closures will continue all the way through the end of 2022.

Additionally, motorists can also expect the following traffic impacts:

June 27 – September 1
• The Casino Center exit from 95 South will be closed.

June 27 – June 29
• The Las Vegas Boulevard onramp to 95 South and Eastern exit from 95S will be closed from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. nightly.

June 28 – July 1
• The Casino Center Boulevard onramp to 95 North will be closed from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. nightly.

June 29 – July 1
• The Eastern Avenue onramp to 95 North and Las Vegas Boulevard exit from 95 North will be closed from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. nightly

The project will extend the near-term service life of the viaduct, portions of which were built almost 60 years ago.

Construction will occur six days a week, as is expected to create 500 direct, indirect, and induced local jobs.
