Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Las Vegas Metro Police have arrested a man and charged him with the shooting death of his father.
Wednesday night, Metro said they received reports of a dead man inside of a home near Blue Diamond and Lindell.
Initially, it was believed that the man had died of natural causes, but when officers arrived at the home, they noticed that the victim had a gunshot wound.
Further investigation revealed that the victim had been home alone with his 35-year-old son, later identified as Timothy La. Detectives determined that at some point, La had shot his father and left the home. La later returned to the residence and was taken into custody by patrol officers.
La was arrested for Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon and was booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
