
Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Las Vegas Metro Police say they’ve arrested a man and charged him with the fatal stabbing of another man on the valley’s far east side on Tuesday morning.
Just before noon on Tuesday, police were called to a neighborhood near Lake Mead and Los Feliz and found a man lying on a sidewalk with several stab wounds. That man, who hasn’t yet been identified, was rushed to UMC but died from his wounds.
Through the course of the investigation, LVMPD Homicide detectives determined the victim was involved in a physical altercation with a man, who was later identified as 33-year-old Jose Escamilla. During the altercation, Escamilla produced a knife and stabbed the victim, then fled on foot.
On Wednesday, Escamilla was located, arrested, and booked into the Clark County Detention Center for open murder.
