Man arrested in shooting death of innocent bystander

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Las Vegas Metro Police announced on Monday that they’ve made an arrest in the case of a man who was accidentally shot and killed after being struck by a stray bullet.

19-year-old Devin Mansch was taken into custody by Metro’s Criminal Apprehension Team on Friday. Details surrounding the arrest weren’t released.

Mansch was booked into the Clark County Detention Center for open murder with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit murder and discharge a gun into occupied structure.

The shooting happened back on July 15th in a neighborhood near Sunset and Fort Apache. Police say the victim was shot when a fight between two groups broke out nearby. The victim, later identified as 23-year-old Bryce McKinney, was taken to Sunrise Hospital but died from his wounds that night.
