Man arrested in stabbing death of grandfather

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Las Vegas Metro Police say a man is facing murder charges for stabbing his grandfather to death.

Police were called to residence near Cactus and Bermuda around 6:30 Monday night and saw 28-year-old Jourdan Nepo standing in the garage, covered in blood.

After detaining Nepo, police went into the home and saw the victim on the couch, suffering from stab wounds. That man was taken to University Medical Centerl, but died from his injuries.

Metro says that the victim’s wife told them that Nepo, who lived at the house with the couple, had been acting erratically all day, and at one point emerged from one of the bedrooms with a knife. Nepo then proceeded to stab the victim, who had been sleeping. The grandmother was not hurt.

Nepo was booked into the Clark County Detention Center for Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon.
