Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – An auto-pedestrian accident early Tuesday took the life of a 58-year-old man and the dog he was walking.
Police say it happened just before 4am at Flamingo and Pecos.
Investigators say David Holtslander was walking his dog when the dog darted out into the street. They say that Holtslander then went after the dog and both were struck by the car.
The driver of the car stayed on scene and showed no signs of impairment. Roads in the area were closed for roughly six hours while police investigated.
