Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – National Park Service officials confirmed that a body found at the Lake Mead National Recreation Are last week as that of a missing local veterinarian.
Dr. Shawn Frehner was first reported missing on April 6th.
His truck was located in the Hemenway Harbor section of the park.
Frehner, an equine vet, went missing after a video went viral of him kicking a horse in the head in Pahrump. Frehner went to social media to explain why the technique was used, but as the video spread widely, the criticism intensified.
Frehner’s body was located in the Boulder Islands section of the Lake Mead NRA. The Clark County Coroner’s Office confirmed Frehner’s identity through dental records. A cause or manner of death has not been revealed.
