
Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - The man being held for a shooting that left a Metro Police officer paralyzed has pled guilty to the charges against him.

Metro officer Shay Mikalonis was left paralyzed by a bullet that was fired from a gun during a Black Lives matter protest in June of 2020.
Edgar Samaniego had pled not guilty to the charges against him in September of 2020,.
At a court appearance Tuesday, Samaniego pled guilty to all 8 charges against him, including attempted murder, battery with use of a deadly weapon and assault with a deadly weapon.
Mikalonis requires constant care and has to use a ventilator to breathe.
Samaniego’s sentencing is set for March 1st.
