Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Nye County deputies came under fire on Thursday afternoon after they were called to a domestic dispute in Pahrump.
Police were originally called out to the man's girlfriend's home, but when they went to the man's residence on Dana Way, they say the man fired shots.
Crisis negotiators were called in and talked with the man for several hours in attempt to get him to surrender before firing tear gas into the residence.
When police gained entry into the man's home, they found him incapacitated with a gunshot wound. They say it's not clear whether or not it was a self-inflicted wound. He has not yet been identified.
The man was taken to Desert View Hospital, but his condition isn't known. He faces a host of charges upon his recovery.
