Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Las Vegas Metro Police say that a man wanted for his involvement in a shooting with Nevada State Police in August has been arrested in California.
The incident occurred near Mountains Edge Parkway and Buffalo on the night of August 11th.
Nevada State Police attempted to stop a speeding vehicle, and as that vehicle attempted to enter a gated community, the car’s passenger exited and fired rounds at the squad.
Police then say the passenger got back into the car and the driver made a u-turn, losing control and crashing into a wall.
The pair then attempted to flee on foot.
One suspect, 30-year-old Chaysen Lawson was caught that night and booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
Police identified the second suspect as 34-year-old Domico Mangum, who eluded capture until his arrest in San Jose on Tuesday. The details surrounding Mangum’s arrest weren’t specified. He’s currently awaiting extradition back to Las Vegas, where he faces a trio of charges that include attempted murder on a first responder.
