Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - A man convicted of stabbing two people to death on the Strip back in 2022 learned his sentence Tuesday.

A judge sentenced Yoni Barrios to two life sentences in prison without the possibility of parole. Barrios had agreed to a plea deal back in January for the sentence, one which kept the death penalty off the table.

Barrios had been found incompetent to stand trial in December of 2022, and spent nearly two years in treatment

Authorities say back on October 6th, 20022, Barrios stabbed asked sidewalk showgirls to pose with him for a photo before wielding a large chef's knife to fatally stab Maris DiGiovanni, 30, and Brent Hallett, 46, outside the Wynn Las Vegas resort.

Two other women dressed as showgirls were among the 8 people wounded in the attack, police said.
