Metro arrests copper wire thieves that knocked out power at Reid, Strip

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Las Vegas Metro Police have arrested three men and charged them with stealing copper wire from a substation that caused the power to go out at Reid Airport and at resorts on the south Strip.

Those arrested were:

- Paul Andrews, 45
- Chad Shurman, 41
- Branden Henry, 29

The trio were booked into the Clark County Detention Center for grand larceny, $25,000 but less than $100,000 and other related charges.

The estimated value of damage and loss was approximately $30,000.
