Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – A Las Vegas Metro Police helicopter was forced to make what the department called a “precautionary landing” Thursday morning in a residential neighborhood in the southwest valley.

The Metro chopper, Air 2, had departed the North Las Vegas Airport just after 9am. About an hour later, it made the landing on a stretch of Pebble just west of Arville. The landing was smooth and the two people on board weren’t hurt.

The pair reported sound and vibration issues that were deemed serious enough to put the chopper down immediately. The exact issue hasn’t been specified.

The helicopter was towed back to Metro’s Air Support unit to get checked out.
